As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

More then once I've had people ask me if a specific amount of money was a lot to give to charity. I always respond that "a lot" depends on how much money they have total. Its the percent that makes the financial gift sizable or not, not the actual number amount.

Five hundred dollars may be a lot for you or Me to give to charity, but it would be nothing for bill gates. So while it would be very generous for you to give that, it would be almost of no value for a rich man to give it.

Do you agree?
